What are cookies?

Cookies are simple files that are sent along with pages from our website and are stored by your browser (the program with which you access our websites) on the device you use (computer, smartphone or tablet computer, for example). The information stored in the cookie is sent to our servers or those of the relevant third parties (see below), through which data can be exchanged.

Which cookies?

These cookies are not always placed or read by ourselves, but also by third parties whose functionalities we offer on the websites.

Huurwoningen.NET cookies:
For an optimal user experience for you, we keep some of your settings in cookies. For example, but not limited to whether you are interested in our email service.
Cookies from Google:
Cookies are placed via our website from the American company Google, as part of the Analytics, Google +1, and the Adsense service. We use these services to keep track of and receive reports on how visitors use the website, to share products via Google +1 and to keep track of surfing data and behaviour. We use the statistics obtained, which cannot be traced back to persons for us.
Google may provide information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so, or insofar as third parties process the information on behalf of Google. We have no influence on the use of the data by Google and/or third parties. We have not allowed Google to use the obtained Analytics information for other Google services. Read the privacy statement of Google (which can change regularly) to read what they do with your (personal) data that they process via these cookies.
Cookies from Google collect data (ad views, browser information, date and time, demographics, page views) and the user's IP address.
The information that Google collects is anonymized as much as possible. Your IP address is emphatically not given. The information is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google claims to adhere to the Safe Harbor principles and is affiliated with the Safe Harbor program of the US Department of Commerce. This means that there is an appropriate level of protection for the processing of any personal data.
Adsense:
Specifically for the Adsense service, Google keeps track of which website you visit within the Google network in order to build up a profile and show appropriate advertisements. The profile is not linked to your name, e-mail address, address etc., but is personal based on the placed cookie.
